Pork Chop Casserole

A vintage clipped casserole recipe for tender pork chops and sour cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 6 pork chops, 3/4 to 1 inch thick
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 10 3/4 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 cup sour cream, divided
  • 1 2.8 oz can french-fried onions, divided

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, and pepper; dredge pork chops.
  2. Brown chops in oil and place in a baking dish.
  3. Make sauce with broth, ginger, rosemary, and sour cream; pour over chops.
  4. Bake covered, then top with french-fried onions and return to oven uncovered.
